Soil Preparation

Drill Seeding

Drill seeding, or Drill Press Seeding, is a mechanical grass seeding method that places seeds with proper spacing and at the correct depth in the soil. It is the only grass-seeding method that places the seed in the ground. Unlike the broadcast seeding method, which often produces low-quality results, the drill seeder attachment is a ground-driven unit that seeds directly into the soil for better germination and more accurate coverage.

Hydroseeding

Hydroseeding is a process where seed and any combination of fertilizer, lime, tackifiers, and other additives are combined with water and a hydroseeding mulch to form a slurry that is sprayed onto the ground to establish vegetation and control erosion.

These ingredients are mixed in a truck or trailer-mounted tank containing either a jet agitation system or a mechanical agitation system. This creates a homogeneous slurry that is then transported to the job site and sprayed over prepared ground in a uniform layer.

Starter Fertilizer

We will also apply a started fertilizer with both drill and hydroseeding applications.
